Development practitioner with diverse experience in policy development, public resource governance (tax, debt, aid, & Illicit Financial flows), public engagement, issue advocacy, and program development. Specialises in Social accountability approaches applied at local to national level and target a range of governance issues and processes aimed at inequality and poverty reduction.
I have worked for 10 year in Fiscal justice to enable people having the space, voice and agency to exercise their rights, and to use this to influence and monitor fiscal systems to mobilize greater revenue and increase spending for quality public services. I have set-up and coordinated spaces for technical tax or budget systems in my roles as member of Board of Directors at Tax Justice Network Africa and as member of the Steering Committee for the SADC Basic Income Grant Campaign by the Studies in Poverty and Inequality Institute respectively. I bring in skills from studies in Fundamentals of Social Accountability (University of Rhodes and Centre for Social Accountability) and Social Accountability Tools (World Bank).
